Killington Resort Welcomes The Vermont Brewers Festival
From the shores of Lake Champlain to the peaks of Killington Mountain, the Vermont Brewers Association knows how to get the job done for folks who love meeting the lauded craft brewers of the Green Mountains. For almost three decades they have been running a successful brewers’ festival on the waterfront in Burlington, Vermont.
This year the brewers will host an outdoor winter festival at the scenic mountain setting of Killington Resort on March 23. This event, and the festival on the waterfront in July, are the only festivals created and hosted by the brewers.
Killington’s smaller, more intimate craft brew festival is held completely outdoors where 34 featured brewers, and two invited guests from Canada, will get together to create special one-off brews that can only be found exclusively at this event. More than 100 beers will be offered with the 30 exclusive brews. Dress prepared to embrace the elements with this all outdoor winter themed celebration.
Tickets are on sale now at www.vtbrewfest.com for $44 or $123 with a lift ticket to ski and ride over the weekend and attend the festival. Attendees will sample special beers in varying pour sizes and enjoy food trucks and fire pits at the base of the K-1 lodge. There are two sessions to choose from noon to 3pm and 4 to 7pm.
All proceeds from the event will support the Vermont Brewers Association, a nonprofit founded in 1995 to promote and strengthen the culture of craft brewing in Vermont through marketing, education, and advocacy for Vermont made beer.
